Lothar Fruth is a pharmacist and moreover a specialist pharmacist for toxicology and ecology. As a consultant and expert he has many years of experience in the evaluation of chemicals, but also of microorganisms as regards their effect on humans and the environment.
His work mainly focused on advising companies and authorities regarding the compliance with legal requirements – as far as toxicological issues were concerned – in the everyday dealings with production engineering, commercial and administrative issues.
Being a pharmacist, he has special knowledge in the border area cosmetics/pharmaceuticals/medical products and the regulatory issues arising from it.
Dr. Joachim Haselbach, owner of ATC, has many years of experience working with authorities and industry with regard to all toxicological, ecotoxical, microbiological, analytical, dermatological and regulatory issues of the targeted use of chemicals in consumer products or when “chemicals” are unexpectedly found in products.
He is an expert toxicologist of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Pharmakologie und Toxikologie (DGPT/German Association for Pharmacology and Toxicology) and a “Eurotox Registered Toxicologist”.
As a publicly appointed and sworn expert for the toxicology of cosmetics and consumer articles he can point to an extensive ability range. For example, he advises manufacturers of all types of consumer products in the practical implementation of safety requirements arising from statutory regulations (Chemical Law, Biocide Directive, Cosmetics Law, Medical Products Law etc.)
Dr. Gabriele Herrmann is a chemist; she has specialised in the area of physical chemistry. After more than a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry her extensive knowledge on chemical substances, in particular on their physical-chemical behaviour, is now contributing to our expertise.
She is working on the notification/registration/authorization dossiers according to the legal requirements, such as from the REACH Regulation or the Biocidal Product Directive BPD.
These activities include the execution of in-depth searches for data on chemical substances, the identification of information requirements, the preparation of registration dossiers with IUCLID5 according to the REACH Regulation, the estimation of exposure, the use of QSAR models for the theoretical calculation and derivation of substance parameters, etc.
Furthermore she prepares expert reports for all relevant chemical and toxicological questions, in particular for those which cover physical-chemical items.
Edeltraud Holla has numerous years of experience in the area Information Processing. She is responsible for all technical and computer-based procedures at ATC; for instance, as the EDP specialist she ensures the efficient processing of the quality assurance procedures for the raw materials from various clients. She administers our own server and databases, in order to assure quick access to all relevant data. Her duties comprise also the programming of additional modules for the adequate processing of new projects. Furthermore, she is in charge of updating our Internet presence. She lends us a helping hand as THE contact for all questions around the computer.
Claudia Wehrhahn is a technical assistance in the veterinary-medical field and has acquired professional knowledge in the area of the experimental science of ecology and toxicology. She knows the internationally standardized test methods, also according to GLP rules, very well and she is familiar with study plans and study reports.
Claudia Wehrhahn works on all steps for the toxicological assessment of cosmetics according to the respective legal obligations; she gives also support for the preparation of the notification documents according to various legal requirements.
Furthermore in depth data bank surveys for toxicological and ecotoxicological evaluations of chemicals form part of her duties.
